The Darwin Elevator
In the mid-23rd century, Darwin, Australia, stands as the last human city on Earth. The planet's refugees flock to Darwin, where a space elevator--created by the architects of this apocalypse, the Builders--emits a plague-suppressing aura.

Interesting book with good character development. Some was predictable, but much was fresh. A different apocalyptic setting than usual with different villains, strategies and resources.

A great series that is a great science fiction read. Hard to put down.

Only the ending of the "dire earth cycle" is weak; the rest is well crafted

I am looking forward to the next installment in this series. The good guys and bad guys are pretty black and white but I really want to find out what is really going on with the aliens.
