Solid entertainment that covers Perry's usual grand themes. Claudine's backstory is too undeveloped in these 197 pages.

I always enjoy these Christmas stories from Anne Perry. This was was particularly good due to the very strong character, Claudine Burroughs. When three young society men try to blame the death of a prostitute on a poet, Claudine knows something is amiss and she uses her contacts to help solve the crime.

This book is in my opinion is not one of my favorites. It was slow to get started and it kind of rambled. I love the author but not so much on this book.
