Bobby Cannavale is superb as working class to Cate's snobbiness

Boring and predictable.

Very well acted. Keep in mind this is in no way a comedy!

Cate Blanchett is brilliant in this as a formerly rich socialite who loses everything. She is the author of her own undoing but I still can't help but feel sorry for her!

This film suffered a bit from Allen's propensity towards character-driven vs. plot-driven story arcs. If Blanchett wasn't the lead I'm not sure it would have carried nearly as well, but she was absolutely spectacular. There was a scene where she was drunk where I was simply amazed not just at her ability to act, but her ability to control even her facial muscles in a way that made her state completely believable.

Ending song "A Good Man Is Hard To Find" lyrics:
A good man is hard to find,
You always get the other kind
Just when you think that he's your pal,
You look for him and find
Him fooling around some other gal
Then you rave,
You even pray,
To see him laying in his grave
So if your man is nice,
You better take my advice
Hug him in the morning,
Kiss him every night,
Give him plenty loving,
Treat him right
Cause a good man now day's is hard to find

So if your man is nice,
You better take my advice
And hug him in the morning,
Kiss him every night,
Give him plenty loving,
And treat him right
For a good man now day's is hard to find

Jasmine: Believe me when I tell you. They tried six medications on me. Cocktails, they call them. The only cocktail that helped was a Stoli martini.
