Multcolib My Librarian Heather: Breaking up is hard to do
Annotation:This is the first book given to you in divorce support group. Think of it as building blocks with this as your foundation. It walks you through the process and all the stages you will invariably swing widely between as you recover your emotional health and stability.
Annotation:This is the book you will wish you had read BEFORE the end of things, and really if we're being honest, BEFORE the start of anything else.
Annotation:This may be the missing manual: 1) Everything changes and ends 2) Things do not always go according to plan 3) Life is not always fair 4) Pain is part of life 5) People are not loving and loyal all the time Say it ain't so David Richo!
Annotation:This is the latest (out in paperback this spring) by relationship guru David Richo. Maybe you read about how to be an adult in relationships but still act like a child. Perhaps you don't believe in love anymore. Or maybe you just want to start an I heart David Richo fan club.
Annotation:What more is there to say really? This is the book you pick up when things fall apart because, as you'll learn, everything does. Everything ends, but it could also be a beautiful beginning.
Annotation:Well, you could do, but that is probably not the way things are headed if you pick up this book. This gives you all the options available so you can decide what would best suit you and your dog when the pack splits.
Annotation:Other people's stories off some solace. They tell you that you're not alone in the craziness. This memoir poses the question: "Will we be broken down and defeated or broken open and transformed?"
Annotation:Just when you think things are finally coming together, it all falls apart (as we learned earlier). Read how Stacy Morrison was able to keep herself together at least.

I like to read self-help but that is a broad topic. To help break it up (pun intended) I created a sub-genre called: Breaking up is hard to do. It is hard for the broken and the breaker. This list includes some tried and true what I like to call Getting Through It Guides, the ever popular Break Up Memoir, and Break Up Art.
