While the topics this book touches on holds true, it's really hard to apply for the average and less privileged women. It's very obvious the author comes from a privileged background and I could not stand the constant name dropping in the…

I LOVED this book. It was in inspiration as a female leader to keep pushing and supporting more female leaders. The only way to do this is to support one another and have the conversation. It should be a must-read for all female leaders.

I would recommend this book to every young adult getting ready to start their career. I read this book every time I need an inspiration.

Every person female or male should read this book. I think this is one of the most meaningful books I have read. Dealing with real issues that every modern woman and man faces in today's society.

Warm, inviting, understanding, and informative. Sandberg strikes the perfect balance between of supporting the ambitions of working mothers while making it clear that stay-at-home moms significantly contribute to society in their own…

It was interesting and I liked it, but it seemed meant for a specific type of woman.

This thought provoking book by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg asks the reader to take a more critical look at the role of women in the modern workforce. She presents a mountain of established research to support her claims, and presents her…

Must read if you are a professional in the workplace. Really important if you are a female, but good for everyone really.

It took me awhile to get to this book.  My pile of stuff to read, whether physical or digital, is always huge and I kept thinking, "I'll read this later, maybe in the Fall."  It is possible I wanted to put off this book because I was…

I sincerely enjoyed reading Sheryl Sandberg's book, Lean In. Sheryl addressed so much of what women go through when trying to build a thriving career. Her tone isn't judgmental or condescending towards women or men for that matter, but…

I really enjoyed this book because it verbalized a lot of what women struggle with and things that I have struggled with myself. I also completely disagree with JSmom - this is exactly what we shouldn't be doing. We shouldn't marginalize…

Reading this nonsense book is a total waste of time. Another privileged person who started from the top takes credit for hitting a home run. By using family connections, she landed under the wing of Larry Summers at Harvard. Once you…

Sheryl Sandberg gave a commencement speech about leaning into careers, and then decided to expand that into this book. The book is a balance between research and personal experiences, and Sandberg gives practical solutions to problems in…

I originally avoided reading this book based on headlines of social media articles, because I didn't think I wanted to Lean In. That strategy for evaluating my reading choices wasn't very well informed. Luckily, I was challenged to read…

Enlightening and easy to read - lots of 'aha' moments. I'd particularly recommend to young women, but great for all ages to help unveil self-limiting assumptions. I found the second half less compelling that than the first half, but 'lean…

A very good for both men and women. There is a lot to learn from this about working parents, Sheryl has put a lot of examples from her daily life and other people's experiences. A great read all the way to the end.

I really enjoyed LEAN IN. The advice may not be universal, but it is heartfelt and comes from a noble place. Sheryl Sandberg speaks from the position of a fairly privileged white working mother because she is one. She is sharing her…

This is an excellent read for both men and women alike. I have read quite a bit on what it means to be a feminist and what women can do to get a more equal part in the workforce. I did not expect the much needed insight Sandberg shares…

I really enjoyed this although I didn't expect to. So many of her observations ring true for me, and I realize that I (female in the tech industry) am often guilty of stereotypes with my own gender. An eye-opening and empowering book for…

First half of the book is really interesting. The second half repeats itself a lot and kind of unravels. A bit like when you are in high school and have to write an essay that is X words and you fill the end with lots of fluff and…

I felt like I was reading a women's study essay, and felt the book really didn't need to be as long as it did. I found the writing itself rather weak, actually. Some of the anecdotes were interesting. A lot of her suggestions sound good in…

I enjoyed this book and thought that Sandberg had many good points. There were some parts that I was nodding my head in agreement and others that I thought she was a bit out of touch with my reality. It was very well researched but a…

Torn. I thought that the first few chapter were both important and necessary for women to hear, but she really feel off after that. She doesn't seem to put women who never want kids into the equation, she seems to be speaking to a group of…

Well written. Includes a lot of anecdotes and statistics that confirm Feminism is very much still needed today. To critics who thought her viewpoint was too limited: ANY steps toward equality are a good thing, everyone's viewpoint is…

Excellent if your are under 35 years AND in a high paying managerial job. If, you are a low level clerical, the ideas in this book could/would get you fired. O, and having an MA from Harvard would help. I am over 60 and out of the work…
