This is a gritty look at circumstances, fate, luck, retribution and surviving. It also weighs ‘good’ and ‘bad’ in context.
A brilliant analysis of the randomness of life. Well written, directed and acted. I never thought Sandra Bullock…

Very disappointing. Basically just random people doing somewhat bizarre things with impossible coincidences and some extreme stereotyping. There is a more recent review of this movie that tears it apart and makes one wonder how demented…

This is a very unusual movie. It's hard to find the words......you hate the hopelessness of
marginalized people because of their skin color and circumstances of birth. And on the other
side it shows the depth of the human spirit and…

Enjoyable movie as far as acting, cinematography, etc., but either the writer lives in a fantasy land or he wrote the script in a way that he wished the world worked. Racism runs deep. Spoiler Alert for the rest of my comment: I don't buy…

Watched this in the cinema when it was out and this was the first re-watch I had of it in 15 years. Very compelling story, film score, and it has allot of powerful moments that bring you into the film. Unfortunately, this is not a…

Wow! Eye opening and unfortunately realistic even to this day people do judge & can be racist but people can be good. Fear & ignorance is part of why people don't understand each other sometimes. Racism & stereotyping does exist but…
I seen this movie before but this time I noticed hatred, love, fear, resentment(a lots), a lot of stereotypical attitudes, which often hurt the other person than the one is is suppose to hurt. This movie show me that we as humans need to…

Making assumptions and jumping to conclusions... there may be a price to pay and a lesson learned. Paul Haggis illustrates this through intertwined stories. It is worth watching.

A mosaic of various cultures and races in a large melting pot city.
Once you become accoustomed to jumping between snippets of lives it is engaging. The acting, dialogue and cinematography is acceptable to good.

An unusual mosaic of colors creating one picture. The degree of racial and culture hatred stemming from lack of understanding is I think a fairly accurate portrayal of large, melting pot cities. It makes me so grateful to now live on VI. …

I found it quite good when I first watched it. After multiple viewings, its imperfections start to show, but all flaws aside, I appreciate its message about racism in L.A.. It's expertly written and I enjoy interconnected plots in film…

This was absolutely one of the best movies of the year. It is one of those interweaving stories where various seemingly disparate characters become somehow connected by the ending of the film. "Babel" and "Amores Perros" are two other…

Director Paul Haggis took a shot at exploring the race-related issues in big city LA. I don't know if the stories (several of them going in parallel) reflect the true reality but the effort of pulling these together to make a film is…

I loved the dialogue in this movie especially the scene with Ludacris. Brilliant writing. Loved how all the stories wove together. It made me cry, like really cry which doesn't happen really often.
