Not as good as the book. Really. Books are usually better, but in this case it really is true.
I thought the actors, actresses were well cast and did a good job in the movie. And there was a lot of parts of the book they left out, which is smart since some aspects of the book, weren't very important to the overall storyline.
My biggest flaw with this movie, was the lack of character development. I knew why certain people where doing certain things and how they felt, because I read the book, but from someone who hadn't read the book, I think more of the backstory would've helped make things clearer. Much of the backstory was glossed over or mentioned quickly. And some major character traits weren't even mentioned, which is a shame. It's funny, because I think it could've easily been added since Sam was narrating the movie at the beginning and the end, so they could've easily added more character or backstory info into the movie.

Has teenage girls screaming (for no reason) in the very beginning. An annoying and unacceptable habit. If this movie repeats itself, like 'Groundhog Day', I won't put up with high pitched noise, immaturity, silliness, or pointless body noises. Turned it off.

This movie made me think a lot about life and how much time we have left on this earth. We don't know when we are going to pass on to the next life it can come any time, any day, any where I mean we don't know. When we do pass on sometimes we miss the things we wanted to say to one another, we miss the goals and/or dreams we could have accomplished, and so on. But ask yourself, "What if you had the chance to live the same day over and over again?, What would you do?, what would you accomplish?, What difference would you want to make in the world? Think about that when you are watching this movie it really digs deep when it comes to living your life and making each day count as we should always do because life is precious and it should never be taken for granted.

“Before I Fall” is a movie about a privileged girl who does what her best friends do. In my opinion, the movie still displayed a good message. The girl, Sam, dies and then relives the day over and over. She is frustrated because she doesn’t know why she is stuck on the day she died. The movie would have been better without all the screaming and the day starting over and over because that makes it boring. As the movie progressed, I realized that the message was “what you do today, matters tomorrow”. Sam realizes this and saves a girl who has been bullied. I saw this as a very nice gesture, but I realized that this is what Sam needed to do to release herself. If I were Sam in the movie, there are many things I would do to let myself be remembered by. Now how do you want to be remembered? I would rate this movie 4 out of 5 stars and most likely I’ll recommend this to a friend.

Before I fall is kind of a weird movie because of the events that happen in it. Samantha Kingston (Zoey Deutch) who is a girl who attends high school and she wakes up and goes to school and goes to a party at night but gets in a car crash and dies, but wakes up the next day and relives the same day all over again and gets in a car crash again and relives the same day again, and as days pass by, she tries to fix or unravel the secrets of the people that she sees in that day or the people closest to her and try to see how she can make it better and find out what is missing. I rate this movie 3 out of 5.

"Overall, I enjoyed Before I Fall very much so. It’s a movie based on a YA book and though it’s easy to tell that, I don’t think it super dramatic like those can be sometimes. I thought the acting was good across the board but Zoey Deutch really stands out in this film, she truly manages to hold her own and her character is compelling..."

It's a do over! She gets to relive her life & do again until she understands it & gets it right! Somehow she lost her true self & thought she was better & cooler than others even too good for her family. And that can happen when a person hangs out with maybe the wrong group. They become rude or think they're better than others. It's interesting how people guard their feelings & hurt others when they're the ones hurting the most, like Lindsay (Bullys do that). My daughter & I saw this, we liked it. But she was sad about the ending
