This book is amazing. I could not put it down. it's like drugs, but much more healthier and it won't get you in trouble with the police. It's funny and engrossing and you can't help but love Artemis even though he is a crazy little schemer. If you read this book, you will not be disappointed. 5 stars.

Artemis Fowl is a twelve-year-old millionaire who just happens to also be a brilliant criminal mastermind. To solve his family's money troubles, Artemis decides to kidnap a fairy (fairies are known to have incredible treasure) and hold her for ransom. What Artemis doesn't realize is that the fairies will stop at nothing to rescue their friend, and Artemis might just be in for the challenge of his life. This is the first in a series of Artemis's tangles with the fairy realm.

Really liked how Artemis never gave up that his father is still alive. He and Butler keep on searching and searching for a clue or rather, a ransom video it may terrify any kid, but not Artemis Fowl.

A young criminal named Artemis Fowl must recover his memories of the fairy world and save the human world from colliding (again!). With the help of his body guard, dwarf friend, and elf friend, he must defeat an evil fairy.

Artemis Fowl is a really good book because there is no antagonist, there is only two competing protagonists. One of the protagonist is more of a group called the LEP. Artemis Fowl is the other protagonist. His goal is to get fairy money from the LEP, the fairy police, by giving them a ransom note because he had kidnapped one of their officers.
