I love horses, mules, equines. I love libraries and books. I love the tenacity and commitment of the horseback librarians. I love old time photographs. This book had all of it plus it was written by the same author of the true blue scouts of sugarman swamp, a charming fairy tale for children.

It’s 4:30am, and the “book woman” is heading out on her horse to deliver books and magazines to people living in Kentucky’s Cumberland Mountains.
