Spunky third-grader Dyamonde Daniel misses her old neighborhood, but when she befriends a boy named Free, another new student at school, she finally starts to feel at home.

Third grader Dyamonde is new to the school and decides to become friends with another new kid. Friendship doesn't seem likely though until Dyamonde confronts him about his grouchy behavior. First of the series.

Dyamonde is sure of herself and not afraid to speak her mind - and she has a lot to say! What she is unsure of is if she will ever find a best friend in her new school.

Adorable book about moving, separation, new schools and changes. Dyamonde is a force to be reckoned with
