The trio of L.A. Latinos, Cypress Hill, has the commercial clout and its raps are free of the misogyny, homophobia, and usual rap stereotypes that so often hurt the genre. In this album they continue on with their rap-rock flow.

The 2nd album from Cali's Cypress Hill is maybe their finest hour. I mean, it's got "Insane in the Brain," "I Ain't Goin' Out Like That," and about 6 songs about weed. These guys really liked weed, even before it was cool. They continued recording, but they never reached the "highs" of "Black Sunday" again.
