Opinion

From Library Staff

Some soldiers in World War II never left England. The men of the 97th Tunneling Company have to defuse the unexploded bombs (UXBs) scattered over London with little more than wire clippers and courage. Based on the memoir by Arthur B. Hartley, Unexploded Bomb.

Not only does this series offer excellent characters and a fine romance, but it brings to life aspects of the British experience in WWII that I hadn't fully understood before. Love it so much that I can't bring myself to watch the last episode, as a matter of fact.
