A sweet but simplistic story about a group of people who find a new lease on life in the low country Pawley's Island. Unfortunately the author chose to narrate this book herself, without much dramatic distinction among the characters. She should have paid an actress. Because many of the characters spoke in the first person, it was confusing as to which person was speaking. Not much attribution that would have helped, such as "Abigail said...Rebecca answered...Olivia replied..." Also, there were a number of editing oversights--"between you and I"; "...asked you and I"--plus an abundance of cliches such as "cute as a bug," "hot as a pistol"--Predictable story line and stereotyped characters.
