The Candy Shop War is a great book if you like those books that are all about adventure. I gave this book four stars because, I personally loved it, but at the end, it became kind of confusing. But if your that type of person who loves adventure and mystery, then this book is perfect for you.

I stopped reading at chocolates that "change your race". I like Brandon Mull's other books (the original Fablehaven series and the Beyonders books are my favourite) but that wording just put me off. Saying "create a disguise" was too difficult? The story wasn't as interesting as the other books of his that I've read either. Maybe if I was younger it would have been cool, but right now the plot moves too slowly to keep me interested.

The Candy Shop War was an interesting book but not as good as books in Brandon Mull’s the 5-book Fablehaven series starting with Fablehaven. Doctor-at-Bass! T. A.

A fun simple read. Entertaining, going to recommend to my 12 year old boy. Will let you know what he thinks. Seems suitable for readers 10 and up.
