Opinion

From Library Staff

It looks like a stick, but it can be so much more when a child uses their imagination.

This is one of my favorite picture books. It's so simple, but the message is clear: imaginative play is important! Pairs well with the book, Vincent Paints His House by Tedd Arnold, and the ridiculously popular song, "Baby Shark."

Very cute book...my son loved it, as much as he loved playing with sticks on our walks. Very nice way to get kids using their imagination.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as her first book, Not a Box, though it is still cute and imaginative. It's probably not the best choice for your toddler if you don't want them learning about using sticks for swords.
