The whole Yusuf Islam thing (well, the whole supporting the fatwah thing) has cast a minor shadow over Cat Stevens's prolific, influential 70s output. This 2-disc anthology is a good introduction. Disc one draws heavily on "Tea for the Tillerman" and "Teaser and the Firecat" (his two best albums), while also featuring great songs like "The First Cut is the Deepest" and "Here Comes My Baby." Disc two is a little more scattershot, with an ill-advised "new" track and an 18-minute suite. You can put together your own "Harold and Maude" soundtrack from this.
