Morrison's New X-Men is a love it or hate it affair. He makes bold choices with characters we've all come to love that you can see as either a breath of fresh air (at least when it was published) or a complete destruction of established canon. Often times with Morrison, the two go hand in hand. This is definitely the best written section of his work with the new X-Men; the stories are tightly written, the art is much improved from the first two volumes, and it has a lot of action and entertaining concepts. A piece of history, worth the read if you're a fan of the X-Men and have an open mind, and required reading for fans of Grant Morrison.
