A must read book for any person in a management position. Peter Drucker defines what an executive needs to focus on a day to day basis. The main ideas are around effective decision making, focus on valuable contributions, time management, execution based on prioritization and effective decision (rational action).

Although most of the use cases do not apply to modern day management, this books is a classic that where the message and lessons are easily identified and applicable to the modern enterprise.

As with any classic management book, this book requires no update.

AN interesting read about how to be for effective and efficient in the work place and when managing "knowledge worker." Although the examples and behaviors described in this book are a little outdated (given that there was no internet or e-mail when it was written) the concept are still relevant in today's work environment.
