One of my favourite Heyers so far: the ironic wit and lavish period detail that compose her singular signature are well in evidence, coupled with extremely likable characters. Unlike most of her heroes, this hero is sweet, a little shy, and NICE, which is a refreshing change from the brooding, haughty masculine types. A couple of hilarious villains, kidnappings and snappy dialogues make for a fantastic read.
