Opinion

From Library Staff

Kumihimo is a braiding method that you can use to create bracelets, curtain ties, belts, necklaces, etc. This title has clear instructions and lots of photographs so it is easy to learn this braiding technique. It also offers DIY suggestions for the basic tools needed to practice kumihimo.

This was nice to look at but not really useful for what I was interested in (Kumihimo on a disk with beads).

It looks like fun; the results are great (although they probably require practice) and reluctantly I have to admit I don't have the time to learn it now. I also wonder if local shops carry the equipment, although the book does tell you how to invent your own substitution for the real items needed.
