Gave up after the first disc and a half. While the photography, scenery and slow-motion action sequences were spectacular, the stories are uninspiring.

of course it is not the book series - it was never meant to be. Still, certainly Season 1, a great show worth watching!

I've only read two books in the series, one of which I liked, the other which I didn't like. It's pretty good for a TV series. The sets and costumes look great. Some of it I found a little cheezy. For example, I was only able to watch about half of the episodes in this set, but it seemed to me that every episode ended in a sword fight! I'm curious about watching the next season and reading the books.

I am just about done watching the second season of this show. HUGE disappointement after reading all of the books, even though for those you have to get past the spelling errors on every other page... but good books. If you like the show, try reading the books. There is so much more to the story than whats in this TV series.

Wizard’s First Rule: people will believe a lie because they want to believe it’s true, or because they are afraid it might be true.
