A "Just OK" series. It started out reasonably interesting, but by the time I was mostly through it, I just got tired of it. What bothered me the most was that the lead character is the least interesting of them all, and [[[[************* SPOILER **********]]]] the romance between the wife and the other guy was soooooo forced and cringeworthy.

Simply awful (no surprise there is not a second season). An intriguing concept about seeing the future suffers in this amateurish, dumbed-down production. Full of crashes, gore, violence, and vulgar gimmicks. Wooden acting, excessive dialogue (no one ever shuts up) and so preachy and self-righteous it made me gag. One star for some clever plot twists and the humor and wit of Dominic Monaghan, who is the only appealing character in this pretentious mess.

P.S. I skipped whole scenes and didn't miss a thing because the story is so padded.

Just finished and am so disappointed to find there is no 2nd season. A Cross between 24 and Lost, Some moments when you'd say no way anyone would be that stupid, but great drama nonetheless. I love a story I can't completely predict.

I was kept highly intrigued with this story. Back in my pre-DVR days, I had to make the choice between watching this or my then favorite show, and I chose wrong. This series is so good and it's a shame that ABC didn't give it more of an opportunity to become popular. I would have loved to see just where this show was going...

A mysterious shockwave causes everyone in the world to blackout for two minutes and 17 seconds. During their blackout, people realize they had a vision of their future in six months. However, the blackout also caused over 20 million people to die in accidents, plane crashes, etc. The mystery of what caused the blackout is the main focus of an investigation. There are also concerns about preventing possible future blackouts. The main characters are an FBI unit based in LA. They become the focal point for the investigation. Beyond that it's a drama of whether one's destiny is certain (one's fate) or whether one has free will and can change the future. Good blend of science fiction and personal drama.

The story line is great, and builds on itself as the episodes unfold. It starts in October 2009 when everyone in the world simultaneously live a couple of minutes of their future then return (wake up) at the present day. People talk about what they saw, and they realize they all went to April 29th 2010, and they know about their future. The saga involves an FBI Agent and his family. He is trying to solve the mystery of the flash-forward. The cause of the event was scientific and caused by man. So who did this and why? And can we change the future? Why didn't some people have a flash forward? You will like this if you enjoyed the series 24.

Great casting; tight story; believability; and a tension that builds until the end. You won't be sorry you checked this science fiction series out.
