Clandestino is the first full-length solo album by Manu Chao, released in 1998. The album contains many soundbites throughout, two of which are bits of a speech by Subcomandante Marcos. The French edition of Rolling Stone magazine named this album the 67th greatest French rock album (out of 100).[2] The album was also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.[3] --

Truly infectious world pop music by this son of Spanish parents raised in Paris who then moved to South America, where he has even mixed punk into his multicultural mix. Definitely in line with Emma Goldman who supposedly said, "If I can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution!" Very difficult to listen to the song "Bong bong" without wanting it to repeat over & over!

I am so glad the library had this album. I can't find it anywhere! ITunes doesn't have it and I tried every store that sells music in my area.....nothing. It is really great, not what I normally listen too but I fell in love with it. Definitely worth a listen. Or ten.
