Bad Monkeys
Jane Charlotte has been arrested for murder. She tells police that she is a member of a secret organization devoted to fighting evil; her division is called the Department for the Final Disposition of Irredeemable Persons--"Bad Monkeys" for short. This confession earns Jane a trip to the jail's psychiatric wing, where a doctor attempts to determine whether she is lying, crazy--or playing a different game altogether. What follows is one of the most clever and gripping novels you'll ever read.

Mildly entertaining. a lot packed into 227 pages. Dexter Morgans meets Harry Potter meets the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo meets Men in Black = confusion. But hey, who doesn't love a superhuman chicks with guns fight.

Mildly interesting novel of woman locked away explaining how she works for a super-secret organization that tries to rid the world of evil. Twists and turns, eventually leading nowhere.

Ruff does dialogue as well as Elmore Leonard. Better, maybe. The premise is offbeat and intriguing (the young woman protagonist is a rule-breaker and sounds crazy -- but is she, really? You keep reading to find out...), and the writing is good. It'd be fun to see it made into a movie. You can't take it seriously, but I found it never boring, enjoyed it thoroughly

A fun read but ridiculous and, ultimately, pointless.
