The plot line is excellent but our best selling author can get tedious in her writing. Things move along slowly and the mismatched group of explorers edge along to a sort of inevitable conclusion-or is it?

This is an extraordinary series, one that features a very strong female character within a detailed and fascinating and well thought out SciFi Universe. Rusch knows her Science Fiction genre rules so well that she can get away with breaking them and following them at the same time. I found it compelling, well written, with pacing that varies intelligently, smartly and with a voice that brings the reader along. The Diving Universe only gets better with each book; I am now far beyond what the SF library carries of this series.

I think it's supposed to be tense - the meeting between different people in different dimensions but it just got to be tedious. I didn't even make it till the mid point.
