If you travel down the roads of Oregon and wonder what life might have been like 100 years ago, try this title about an outsider who arrives in a small town to start a new life, and finds all of her preconceived notions challenged.

It is really one of the weird book. I have to give up because it makes no sense. There is no story line that makes interesting to read the book

I really enjoyed this book. It is a bit slow-moving as other commenters have said. But I loved the descriptive writing which gives you a strong sense of the Oregon frontier circa 1900, and the vibrant, compelling characters.

This story was rather boring. I can't recommend it, because of sexual content and a little coarse language.

Half-baked book that can't decide if it's literary fiction or Western Americana. Not recommended.

I normally enjoy westerns. I did not enjoy this book at all. It was very slow moving. I would not recommend this book.
