Timeless story about three bears and the little girl named Goldilocks.

"Three little kittens lost their mittens, and they began to cry... " Generations of children in English-speaking world enjoyed this lovely Mother Goose rhyme.

The classic with "just right" illustrations. Even the littlest one will enjoy chiming in with and "Baby Bear had a wee little bowl."

In this nursery rhyme classic, three little kittens lose, find, soil, and wash their mittens.

One of my absolute favorite books to read in storytimes. The mom cats facial expressions are HILARIOUS and the rhyme is good. Half of the time the cats speak as humans and half of the time they just meow and purr. The ending is so strange and abrupt. I LOVE THIS BOOK!!
Also its a relatable "fairy tale" to a young audience.

Three bears are surprised when they find the girl is sleeping on their beds. And Goldilocks, girl's name, is surprised when she see the three bears are seeing her. It's funny.

Galdone's versions of folk & fairy tales are usually great choices when you want a simple telling for a young audiences, and the Three Bears is no exception. Interestingly, here the bears are called not Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear, but Great Big Bear, Middle-Sized Bear, and Little Wee Bear, which also makes it a good choice for families that don't include a mother and a father (though "Great Big Bear" is occasionally referred to as "he" and "Middle-Sized Bear" as "she", the bears look like bears--naked--and aren't in gendered outfits).
