Love being able to revisit Aang and Team Avatar! Well written and thought out; made me laugh out loud quite a few times. Loved it!

Good extension of the Avatar animated series, plenty of action and lots of familiar characters crop up. I'm already looking forward to part 2!

Is it a graphic novel or a book book?

It's such a great continuation of ATLA. So good. The writing is still the same quality as the series. I feel like I can hear the voice actors while i'm reading the book. :)

The comic remains very faithful to the show; the humour is just as funny, the characters continue to grow, and enough panels are devoted to the martial arts/bending to have a sense of the intricate choreography that made the series unique. The Promise continues where things left off, the war is over, but peace is not fully restored, which is a very realistic thing for a cartoon to look at. A must read for any fans of Avatar.
