Update, 10/15: Rated half-star for utterly fictitious and awful - - a few well-chosen questions by Seymour Hersh to Bowden completely destroys any and all credibility on Bowden's part - - Bowden writes as if he saw the photos of bin Laden's death, and then Bowden explains that // someone described the photos to him \\ he NEVER ACTUALLY SAW THEM - - we call that professional lying, folks!
Update, 5/11/15: http://www.lrb.co.uk/v37/n10/seymour-m-hersh/the-killing-of-osama-bin-laden
So almost everything about this so-called raid was fictitious? [He was supposed to have allegedly been in Pakistan, so that would be the one correct factoid, assuming it is correct, of course, which must be accepted on faith.]
Time to reclassify this book as fiction: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-05-10/seymour-hersh-obamas-entire-account-bin-ladens-death-one-big-lie-what-really-happene

This book provides detailed and interesting information about the decision to authorize the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden. It aslo discussed what led to the information of where he was hiding. I first read the book "No Easy Day" by one of the SEAL teammembers on that raid, but I recommend you read this book first and then that book for a great overview of the whole thing. There is some conflicting information, since at the time this book was written, no members of the SEAL team had yet given details. However, this book provides great information and insight and it is well written.

I was expecting more from author Mark Bowden and I agree with the previous reader's comments. I hope this is the last book written about the end of that coward born with a silver spoon in his mouth sending uneducated young men from the Muslim world into Iraq and Afghanistan for a quick meaningless death just to further Al Queda's primitive goals while Osama hid out watching his stash of porno movies found in his hideout. I don't understand how Al Queda can be comfortable killing considerably more innocent Muslims compared to coalition soldiers in their strategy. A real dedicated Muslim who used his 15 year old latest Wife as a human shield against the Seals. - Ya right.

While reading this one, I got the feeling that there is probably another more definitive book out there on the hunt and killing of bin Laden. MANHUNT had the feel of needing to be the first in the marketplace. THE FINISH provided more detail - but some things were just dropped in with little background. This is not bad, just not the definitive work.
