Despite some changes to the Amazon's history that many people did not like, I think this series continues to be great. Action-packed and compelling.

Chiang should draw Wonder Woman always. In this book, she looks strong, totally bad-a, sexy but not objectified -- just all-around awesome. And the story here is interesting; it's definitely a different direction for the title, and a bit overly mired in mythology for my tastes, but still completely worth reading.

There are lots of story telling possibilities in bringing together the Greek Gods and the modern world, although I am not so sure such beings of such power fit very well in the DCU which is supercharged with the supernatural. This is a readable comic and may be a good direction for Wonder Woman even though this story line with Zola isn't all that interesting to me. Kind of interesting though about how the Amazons deal with reproduction and then the male offspring.

Though I don't particularly care for the reboot of the DC universe, a decision that I still disagree with, this series works quite well, heavily drawing in Greek mythology as the title heroine follows a quest of her own. The creative team have a good take on the characters and the story, and pace things well. The art by Chiang seems a bit improved from the first volume- perhaps he needed time to find his form on this title.

The continuing adventures of the New 52 Wonder Woman unfold in this second volume. Wonder Woman meets more members of her new extended family and continues the quest she began at the beginning of the series.

This new version of Wonder Woman not only makes Wonder Woman more interesting, it actually makes the pantheon of Greek mythology more interesting. It's weird, exciting and fun. I highly recommend it.

I like what Azzarello does with Wonder Woman but what he does to the Amazons is some heinous ish. He turns them into murderous rapists. That's right. He writes women as rapists. Azzarello, for the lame and the impotent. foh.
