Born (1923) in New York City - Richard Avedon is considered to be one of the most influential American fashion photographers of the 20th century.

In his lifetime - Avedon was a multiple award-winner. His career in his field of work spanned for nearly 60 years.

Throughout this period of time - Avedon had been commissioned to do extensive photographic work for such notable magazines as Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Look, and The New Yorker.

This book of over 350 pages gives you a good overview of Avedon's output (1944-2000).

*Note* - In 2004 - Richard Avedon (81 at the time) died from a cerebral hemorrhage.
