This movie cracks me up every time I watch it. I have borrowed it countless times. It reminds me of my young adult days when I lived back east. I want to know more about who wrote it because it was really accurate about some of the party and club scene, for me in Michigan, in the 90's although they are in NYC. Love Mary's cute Lebanese boyfriend in this, so adorable. I bought the soundtrack so I can reminiscent while driving to work. I am a geek and it is cool with all the library scenes and the great music score all in one!

You can't be too harsh with this film. It's tongue and cheek. It's a comedy that laughs at itself. This is a light, light, LIGHT fun comedy! It's not serious in any way. It doesn't have any message and none of these people are supposed to be real or realistic. It write a harsh critique of this film is in it itself missing the point. Sit down in a comfortable chair, turn your brain completely off and laugh. This story will make you happy if you let it.
