In this volume, Miles Morales faces Venom - and loses someone very important to him. While the story is, as usual, very well-executed, I still wonder why Miles has to face the original Spider-Man rogues gallery instead of his own foes.

This is part of a series retelling the story of Spiderman. I really don't like these retellings, especially Spiderman's. But there are segments of the series that are good & this happens to be one of the them. I really didn't like how they changed around the story of Venom & the symbiote suite, but it's a retelling, accept that & you have yourself a great read, excellent art work & it's always fun to watch Venom wreak havoc throughout the city streets. Overall a great read.

Continued goodness from BMB as he is firmly in his wheel house in this series. Unfortunately for Miles Morales, that means suffering an incredible loss....
