Opinion

From Library Staff

Bear thinks bees are huge, with claws and sharp teeth. Bee encourages him to take a closer look at himself. This simple funny book shares a nice message in a fun way and lends itself to making predictions.

This is a very cute book about a bear and a bee with large colourful illustrations. The bear had never seen a bee before and thought a bee was big, with large teeth, sharp claws and is a bit like a monster. The bee points out that the bear is big, with sharp claws and big teeth which changes the bear's idea of what a bee is entirely. This book opens up a conversation on stereotypes and false impressions.
