These books are really fun. They are like a cross between adult paranormal romance/mystery and teen fiction. The characters are teens, but the plot lines are not.

Read the series... this one distinguishes itself by having a Charles Manson wannabe, a "father" figure who "cares" for his "family" and sets them on the path to drugs, murder and mayhem. However, this bad guy isn't a purist as he has blood on his own hands... which they never could prove Charlie had.

Violet is a strong character and a good lead, as are her opposing leading men: Rafe and Jay. You'll get sucked in to the world of finding bodies through recognizing the echoes of the victims lives.
