I actually really enjoyed this book because it was written in verses. The plot was extremely emotional in my opinion, and it gives you a strong sense of hope once you reach the end of it.

In this book, the main character is a girl named Sara. Sara's family is broken. Her mother died when she was little. Her father is really sad so he hides himself from everyone and doesn't know how to talk to Sara about her mother. There are no family pictures, so Sara is on her own. But hope rises when Sara finds a lost baby kitten.

Things seem hopeless. Sara's father won't let her keep the kitten, but Sara does all she can to keep her family alive. As she gets closer to giving away the cat, she also gets closer to the truth about her mother. This brings the family closer. Sara gets help from her friends and is determined to keep the cat.

In the end, all of Sara's determination pays off and she learns the truth. She gets to keep the cat she loves and is good at school. The family is now back together.

I liked this book because it helps me to know you should keep going when things get hard. The book was great and taught me a lot. I recommend it.

I enjoyed the story but I felt the story but I felt the novel being in verse kind of held it back. We could have gotten to know the charters much better if it had not been in verse.
