Thanks. Thanks a lot Mrs. Meyer. That ending was super satisfying. (See? Iko isn't the only one practicing her sarcasm.) I mean, WOAH! Okay, I need to get my thoughts straight.
So, Cress contacts the Rampion and they set up a rescue mission. Got it. Then Sybil comes to check on Cress and finds out about her ensuing rescue. Okay. Then Thorne and Cress get trapped in the satellite, hurtling towards Earth after Sybil tricks them and Thorne loses his eyesight... Oh and Sybil goes to the Rampion, turns Wolf into a mindless bodyguard, takes Scarlet hostage, and her guard turns on her and stays with Cinder. WHAT!!!!! Oh, and not to mention that Wolf has been fatally wounded if he doesn't receive medical help. GREAT! UGH!
Okay, fast-forward on the following events (so I can look back on this and remember for when Winter comes out). Thorne and Cress have to travel in the Sahara desert until they come across some seemingly nice caravaners who actually hold a grudge against Lunars and after bringing both of them to a town, TAKE Cress to sell her. Cinder and Jacin take Wolf to Dr. Erland, who stitches him up and sedates him after Wolf wakes up and rage-quits when he find out what happened to Scarlet. Scarlet has been taken to Luna, given to a horrible family who lets their son experiment with his gift on her, has her little finger cut off for knowing Cinder, and is taken in as a pet/friend for the Princess Winter- whom Jacin is loyal to (hehe and loves), doesn't use glamour, and is going crazy because she isn't using her gift. OHMYGOSH! Then Cress is sold to Dr. Erland (her father!), Thorne finds them after bringing an escort-droid for Iko, and Cinder has to take command as the military surrounds them all and the townspeople stand up to Cinder's aid. Alright. Following this, the gang (minus Scarlet) goes to the palace to kidnap Kai, but Dr. Erland finds that he has an advanced version of the plague after giving Thorne solution for his eyes, Jacin is left at the palace where Levana practically tells him Cinder's true identity, and Cinder not only takes control but TORTURES Sybil to the point where she throws herself from the palace roof. Spades! Just what Cinder needs to reassure herself that she will not turn into Levana- or her mother. Then, you know, Kai wakes up on the ship, Cinder tells him that she is the princess, and they make up. Oh wait! That's not all, hahah, no. In the very last paragraph, Cinder basically says that to stop Levana and stop the war that has been started, she needs to start a revolution on Luna. ... THAT'S HOW WE ARE LEFT UNTIL WINTER COMES OUT! GAH!
Okay, so this way, Cinder will take control, they will meet up with Princess Winter, reunite with Scarlet, and what. How is she going to stop Levana when she is so much weaker than her???

Anyways, Cress and Thorne hahaha. She was so cute. Her social skills were so poor, and her fantasy was so over-the-top that is was super humorous. When she believes that Thorne is 'cheating' on her and she turns against him, I couldn't help feeling that now they could have a relationship that was real instead of being mostly inside Cress's head. Thank goodness. I'm glad that Thorne's character didn't change to be the perfect love interest. He was still boastful, a bit full of himself, and sarcastic, and for this I am appreciative- I like the continuity. I love this book and I love this series so much. I don't really want it to end, but at the same time, I need to have the last book!

(PS, Cinder and Kai can get married now and form a political alliance between Luna and Earth!!! Technically they are both royalty!!!!!)

Stayed up late to finish this one and I would consider it well worth it. Just when you think the dream team has been assembled - and they're off to grab a new member in Cress (our Rapunzel figure) when disaster strikes and everyone ends up separated from each other. Mostly in pairs with the exception of poor Scarlet.

Cress, our new character, has spent the past seven years locked away in a Lunar satellite and when freed is tasked with working with a wounded Captain Thorne, on whom she has a crush. Meanwhile Cinder and the injured Wolf make their way to Africa and Scarlet has bigger problems as a Lunar prisoner. Meanwhile, of course, there is a royal wedding on the horizon.

There's a lot going on and it all goes by pretty quick. The final third of the book is when things really start to get going - and then end will really leave you clamoring for the next book!

"Just to be sure you're not using your mind powers on me right now." -Kai Cinder blinked, "Of course not." "Just checking." And he slid his arms around her waist and kissed her."

I had a total Iko moment when I read that part( and the five trillion other times I read that part.)

"Why cyborgs?" he murmured. "Why do we only use cyborgs for the draft?"
Torin sighed. "All due respect, Your Majesty. Do you really think this is the best issue to be concerning yourself with right now? With the wedding, the alliance, the war…"
"Yes, I do. It's a valid question. How did our society decide their lives are worth less?…"

"Do you think it was destiny that brought us together?"
He squinted and, after a thoughtful moment, shook his head. "No. I'm pretty sure it was Cinder.”

"Pause one second. And be honest." Thorne held up a finger. "Are you having a mental breakdown right now?"
