Some people view this book as the "Bible" of liquid soap making. I however think if anything, it will discourage soap makers because it is so complicated. I am an experienced soap maker, and it scared me! You are better off looking up the info on the website "about.com". They have a simple step by step recipe that I have made several times without any trouble.
