Grade PreK - 2. In Pakistan, to celebrate Basant, Malik enters a kite flying contest. Malik's skill leads his kite to triumph over a bully's kite; that he uses a wheelchair is incidental to the story.

I loved this book. The illustrations are stunning & I love that the protagonist is in a wheelchair. While this is clear from the illustrations, it's not a direct focus of the story. The story also focuses on bullying. Get this one for your kids, 1st grade & up.
