I hereby bet Tony Hawks the sum of one hundred pounds that he cannot hitchhike round the circumference of Ireland, with a fridge, within one calendar month. A drunken bet becomes a hilarious and charming tale of self-discovery.

One of the funniest, laugh-out-loud, books I've read.

A beautiful portrait of Ireland and the Irish people. Captures the spirit of a nation that has strong ties to history and a shared identity while struggling with the inevitable changes that come with changing populations and culture. Funny, ridiculous, and touching.
