The Orphans of Race Point was an engrossing story with many relatable characters, which allowed me to overcome the fact that some of what happens in the book is rather unrealistic. The middle section, in particular, dragged a bit, but then picked up again in the final third of the book. In the end, the quality of the story kept me reading and overcame the flaws.
