I didn't want to believe the reviews but unfortunately they were right. I enjoyed the first two seasons of Louis for the most part, it had some funny moments and engaging vignettes. This makes me wonder what happened in season 3- I guess he just ran out of gas. The episodes with David Lynch in them are worth watching ( he makes a great cameo- GREAT cameo! ) but there's not much to offer otherwise. I think I'll skip watching the seasons after this one.
Holy shikes! David Lynch? Need I say more? Keep it up Louie!
This got a ton of credit from critics. I didn't see comedy, drama or even dark comedy. It's rather sad when cursing is the best part of an episode or the season.
This season sees Louie getting more metaphorical and artsy, which i liked. The David Lynch episode is amazing. very different from what other sitcoms are doing.
I usually don't rate individual tv show seasons, unless something stands out. In this case, I'm more AWARE of the writing, and the increasing tendency for "bad stuff" to happen to our protagonist. However, most importantly, I'm more aware of my lack of laughter this season. Perhaps the "oh woah is me, sad-sack loser" shtick has lost its appeal? I am now less excited for Season 4....
