Philip Yancey explores grace at street level. If grace is God's love for the undeserving, he asks, then what does it look like in action? And if Christians are its sole dispensers, then how are we doing at lavishing grace on a world that knows far more of cruelty and unforgiveness than it does of mercy?

This has got to be the one book that has impacted me the most in so many ways. One thing that is repeated often in this book is "Nothing you can do can make God love you more and nothing you can do can make God love you less." Brilliant summary of what the biblical concept of grace actually implies in our daily walk and how we see ourselves, as well as others. Philip Yancey is an under the radar Christian author now, but every one of his books is worth seeking out and carefully reading.
