The follow up to "the Hurting" is an easier listen and a little better recording quality. I think "the Hurting" is fabulous, but SFtBC is a must listen. Oh, heck, the first 4 discs are all must listen :)

At the very height of Pop Music's 2nd British Invasion (the 1980s) - Tears For Fears literally burst, like a flaming fireball, onto the exciting scene with their #1, chart-topping album "Songs From The Big Chair".

Released in 1985 - This first-rate album would be Tears For Fears' 2nd offering and it would prove, without a question, to be their best, going multi-platinum in record time.

Quickly becoming an international success, the MTV-driven Tears For Fears were a quartet of ambitious, English lads (in their early 20s) who were headlined by Roland Orzabal (vocals, guitars) and Curt Smith (vocals, bass), with significant song-writing input from Ian Stanley (keyboards).

Out of "Songs From The Big Chair's" 8 tracks, 2 of my absolute favourites are - Head Over Heels and Everybody Wants To Rule The World.

*Trivia note* - Are you at all curious about where Tears For Fears got their name from? - Well, it's an excerpt from a quote lifted from American, psychologist, Arthur Janov's book, "The Primal Scream" in which he stated that the chief principal of his book was to reveal "tears instead of fears".

A clasic Tears for Fears album the one that put them on the map. With songs Shout, Mothers Talk, Head over Heals, and of coarse Everybody wants to Rule the World all hits. Enjoy! It keeps getting better.
