The Arrow has become a hero to the citizens of Starling City, but that doesn't mean that Oliver Queen can take his eye off the ball and lead a normal life in the spectacular third season of the hit series based on the DC Comics character. A new wave of diabolical masterminds, from homegrown terrors inflicted by the resurgent Vertigo, the deranged Cupid, boomerang-wielding Digger Harkness and bloodthirsty Brick Brickwell.

Wasn't as good as the other first two.
Kinda boring. For me at least. I was really Mad/sad When my favorite character died, so that made me like the season less. (It wasn't A main character, don't worry)

On the positive side: the visuals were great - - loved those creative costumes by Maya Mani - - wished they gave considerably more screen time to Katrina Law, she is one ultra-looker! And Emily Bett Ricards was also nice to look at.
Oliver Queen's sister has the most fantastic looking city loft/condo imagineable.
I have been avoiding TV for around 25 years or more, so was curious about the content, so on to the negative side.
My problem: some very disturbing moral fluidity, moral ambiguity, and extreme moral relativism. Quite a bit of this series sounds like Chicom, or China's totalitarian system, proselytizing. We do know that Time Warner, the parent compay of Warner Brothers Entertainment, is majority shareholder invested by Vanguard, BlackRock and State Street, but who knows who is investing through them [China? Saudi Arabia?]?
The constant bromides on allegiance to one's family - - right or wrong - - above all else plus the allegiance to The State and billionaires, was most disturbing and offputting!
The main character, Oliver Queen, in the parallel origin story, kills on command with nary a thought but for his own survival - - completely unacceptable and completely negates the premise of the story - - but Katrina Law and Emily Bett Ricards do look great!

SPOILER ALERT!!!
Loved the 1st season. was so-so on the 2nd. and i'm afraid the rating for the 3rd season has gone even lower. i actually couldn't even force myself to watch the entire season. stopped watching after the 3rd (of 5) discs. i really enjoyed the fighting and action, but i just couldn't take Oliver's superior attitude about everything anymore. i agree with the other reviewer who says Felicity is the show's MVP, but then even she started to annoy me, too, when she got wishy-washy about killing the bad guys. so then i started to like Thea who i thought was pretty useless for the first season and a half. she actually showed lots of promise. then she had to go and ruin it as well when she got a little wishy-washy as well. i just wanted a great action and fighting show. not all this drama. oh well!

man this show is crazy >> clumsy writing and directing, borderline tolerable characters but i watch for the batman villains and The League of Shadows. Lots of casual killing and silly fight scenes intercut by gossip girl style melodrama. If i was a teen Id watch for the hot girls in costume. Millennials write this obviously OMG

I know some people had a problem with this third season and I'm not sure why. It does have a different pace as opposed to the breakneck, back against the wall odds against the hero run of Season Two but I still liked it. I wasn't a fan of Olicity or whatever they call Oliver and Felicity at the beginning but I like the way it was a thread that they weaved throughout the season and finally, to an extent, tied up at the end. The actress who plays Felicity to me is still the acting MVP on this show. I know people were also up in arms about Arrow fighting a guy who is basically a Batman villain but I didn't have much of a problem with that.
