"Like [Judy Blume's] Forever, this sensitive, candid novel is sure to find a wide audience among curious teens."--BooklistBefore this all happened, the closest I'd ever come to getting physical with a guy was playing the board game Operation. Okay, so maybe that sounds pathetic, but it's not like there were any guys at my high school who I cared to share more than three words with, let alone my body. Then I met Wes, a track star senior from across town. Maybe it was his soulful blue eyes, or maybe my hormones just started raging. Either way, I was hooked. And after a while, he was too. I couldn't believe how intense my feelings became, or the fact that I was seeing--and touching--parts of the body I'd only read about in myGray's Anatomy textbook. You could say Wes and I experienced a lot of firsts together that spring. It was scary. It was fun. It was love. And then came the fall. Daria Snadowsky's unflinching dissection of seventeen-year-old Dominique's first relationship reveals the ecstasy and the agony of love, and everything in between. "[Snadowsky] deals in modern terms with the real issues of discovering sex for the first time . . . in a responsible way."--SLJFrom the Hardcover edition.

So so so funny! Kept me laughing, such an easy summer read!

(NOTICE: Attempts to censor my comments will be fiercely fought under the aegis of American Libraries’ beloved principles: Freedom of Speech, Freedom to Read, Intellectual Freedom.) I am at a loss not only why librarians/teachers would push this kind of literature to minor children—most certainly behind their parents backs. This book consists of explicit and obscene descriptions by a 17-year-old girl of sexual petting, oral sex and rushing to a bathroom to defecate following a breakup. The fact that it deals, according to the School Library Journal, “in modern terms with the real issues of discovering sex for the first time,” does not make it material suited for minor children!

I really enjoyed this book, for the past few years I have been looking for books similar to Forever by Judy Blume, this is the closest I found.

Overall it was a very good book. I loved the ending, it showed how bad heart break can really be.

Very good book.
