Missed the "fantasy ROMANCE" tag. If you are into that genre, you will probably enjoy this more than I did.

Though honestly, I think that plot line is still programmatic, in that a traumatised young woman, who probably has PTSD because of the repeated rapes she has witnessed and sexual abuse that she has suffered - all of which are apparently "normalized" in the culture, even if considered distasteful. And then, WITHIN A DAY of meeting the male love interest, bamn, she's over the trauma. Within two days, she's into anal. So... yeah.

Gave this a full star only because the world building was interesting and the non-romantic plot lines had promise. Was tempted to go lower.
