This one just did not click for me. Why were they out at night? Why did the father just randomly join them? Why are the streets, which are wonderfully drawn, so stark and sterile in a city? Where are the other pedestrians, the cars, the stray cats and dogs and nocturnal animals like raccoons and skunks? It all just seemed very stark and sterile and strange.

Miyakoshi's stories are so great. Lovely art and a great mood. Read this one now!

Fantastic illustrations using forest animals dressed as people inhabiting a city. Viewpoints vary as the rabbit narrator ponders the activities of those he passed on his nighttime walk home.
