The reviewer in QST hated this book, but I loved it. Very insightful and provocative. One criticism I've heard about this book is that she seemed to have relied only on ham radio publications for her research. But her dad has been a dedicated ham all his life and she had lots of exposure to the hobby. Much fascinating history here. For instance, she tells how in the early 1960s when the board of the Northern California DX Club voted to allow women to join, a large number of members left the club in protest.
