Focused on the architecture and physical space of mental hospitals. The photos are wonderful - sometimes sad, sometimes wistful. The essays are also well-thought out and center around the original concept of "asylum" as a place of refuge from outside forces, rather than another salacious tale of hauntings and cruelty. Very refreshing.
